Scoring

Standard Victory Points as per the published DBM Rules (however Win, Draw, Loss results will be recorded and used as a tie break if necessary).

2 VP bonus if you win, and lose less than 10% of your total element equivalent count (thereby inflicting a "down trou" against your opponent)!

At the end of the round robin the player who (in each group) has killed the most enemy generals will receive a 2 VP bonus.

At the end of the round robin the player who has killed the most enemy baggage (in each group) will receive a 2 VP bonus.

Win/Draw/Loss will be recorded and used as a tie break in the event of a draw at the end of round robin play.

Full results of each game are to be mailed to the AWC Yahoo! Group - both players are equally responsible for completing this.

You must be a paid up member of the AWC, and preferably subscribed to the AWC Yahoo! Group.

General Rules for the Competition

Table size for 25mm is 8'x5' unless unavailable, then 8'x6', then 8'x4' if necessary. For 15mm it is the standard 6'x4'.

400AP for all games in both scales unless mutually agreed.

The current version, DBM 3.1, to be used.

Weather, time of day and all that allegedly fun stuff to be played unless mutually waived.

Your default army is the one you tell the organiser before your first game. Either player may insist on both players using their default armies by giving reasonable notice, otherwise army list being used must be named when game is scheduled. Default army means, for example, 100 yrs War English list, it doesn’t mean a completely fixed army list for that army, like in a convention - you may change the structure and make-up of your army before each game.

Players must agree armies well in advance of the game, and if wishing to enforce default armies at that time.

Players who feel they have been given a raw deal, over army selection or indeed anything, may appeal to the organiser (Andrew Bennetts). To encourage people to be nice to their opponents, complaints will be dealt with on a “guilty until proven innocent basis”. Short answer: Don't give your opponent cause to complain!

All games are 4 hours, unless both participants agree otherwise.

Players are expected to organise their own games. These do not need to be at the Club and may include games played at conventions that fall within the competition period. Given the reduced commitment required for this abbreviated format, defaulters will be treated both harshly and unfairly!

Competition Round Robin play for 25mm must be completed by 01 July 2007; Finals (for 25mm) and round robin play for 15mm are to be completed by 31 August 2007.
