This month we had a completely different selection of games on down the club! Its good to see a wide variety of games on offer although sometimes it seems like there is too many different rules, scales, & periods played by our members.
28mm DBR with Gustavian Swedes vs Later Royalists
A nice looking 28mm DBR game once again with some well painted figures. John wrote about this game “and my DBR 28mm game was the closest to “mainstream”! Oh and we were honoured by a visit from the ‘country member’ Uncle Dickie, whose Gustavian Swedes managed to beat the Later Royalists despite all the 5’s and 6’s malfunctioning on his dice”.
6mm Napoleonics – French vs Austrians using the Fast Play Grand Armee rules
A popular game a few years ago between Roundie and Kieran (myself). We decided to drag out the armies and give it another go but sadly ran out of time before we got a result. A thoroughly enjoyable game which we plan to play more of this year. It was also nice to drag out my terrain boards and they worked well for this period.
15mm SYW using Koenig Kreig rules – Austrians vs. British
A trial game of KK with Simon and John C giving the rules a crack. I expect to see more KK played later in the year as a couple of players finish off armies.
15mm ACW using Regimental Fire and Fury
The resurgence of ACW continues with an interesting looking scenario played between Ben and Richard and a few helpers.
Thanks all for looking.
